Nickel-plated steel roundwound strings deliver a defined attack and a crisp top end, so pick attack, ghost notes and articulation come through razor-sharp – while still giving you a punchy, controlled low end that keeps the foundation stable both live and in the studio.
You’ll notice the quality straight away: the ridged roundwound surface feels like classic “metal-direct” under your fingers and delivers the open, lively response many associate with the iconic Slinky sound. The hex-shaped steel core locks the winding in place, so the string feels stable and direct, intonates accurately and responds quickly, whether you play fingerstyle, with a pick or with a heavier attack.
